00:08In 2024, the U.S. imported a total of just over 584 billion euros in goods from the EU.

00:17Between 2014 and 2024, the U.S. imports from the EU grew by 44%.

00:23On the other hand, the U.S. exported around 357 billion euros in goods to the EU.

00:30In 2014, the U.S. exported over 266 billion euros in goods to the EU,

00:37with the following 10 years seeing a 34% increase.

00:42Germany, Italy and Ireland are among the EU's top exporters to the U.S.

00:55As Donald Trump officially imposed 25% tariffs on steel and aluminium imports,

01:09The EU, particularly Germany, is a major steel exporter to the U.S.,

01:14but this is not the first time the U.S. president has done so.
