Gulf News chats to some of the celebrity chefs at the Dubai Festival Of Taste.

00:00This is my first time doing the Festival of Taste.

00:23I've previously been here before to do another food festival.

00:26It's been amazing.

00:27The response from the public, the support from everyone at Jumeirah, and really everyone

00:33in Dubai has just been so excited.

00:37I'm some kind of a celebrity here, which is pretty exciting.

00:40Everyone knows who I am and is excited to have me around and help.

00:44The kitchens are very well operated.

00:47When you think we're not always dealing with the same chef in each kitchen because there's

00:51such a huge operation, they're busy seven days a week.

00:54And also one thing I've noticed is they are actually very busy in this time of the year.

01:00My first real taste of it, of course, was last night when I did it.

01:03It was called Appetizing Ainslie and I did a demonstration.

01:06We had a theatre full of people and it was just an electric atmosphere.

01:10The staff are great, more mature, more confident.

01:16The food is always fantastic.

01:17Boy, I haven't been here very long and I've been very busy cooking, but I have had an

01:22opportunity to do snowboarding at Ski Dubai, which was actually much more of a rush than

01:27I expected.

01:28It was a lot of fun.

01:29The first day I got here, the waves were looking pretty good, better than I expected.

01:31And I was with all the chefs and they're all worried about food and logistics and I'm like,

01:36Look at that surf guy, stop the car!
