A family of five had a narrow escape when their multi-purpose vehicle was rammed by a car, causing both cars to catch fire in an accident on Jalan Tun Sardon in Balik Pulau, Penang early Tuesday (Feb 11) morning.

00:13The incident happened at about 2.30am along Jalan Tunsadon in Balikpulau.

00:24between 10 and 74 years old, were on their way back to Balikpulau from Hatyai, Thailand.
00:30He said preliminary investigation revealed that the MPV was hit by another car, coming
00:35from the opposite direction.
00:37The car lost control at a bend and veered into the oncoming lane.
00:41He said a fire broke out due to the collision but fortunately, all the victims were rescued
00:45by members of the public, while firefighters managed to put out the fire.
