00:00Good morning to all. This is the latest weather update for the day of Tuesday, February 11, 2025.

00:09At the moment, we are not being watched by LPA or typhoons inside and outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility,

00:17even though we can still expect the rainy season in a large part of our country.

00:22This is due to the weather systems that are continuously affecting our rivers.

00:27These typhoons that we are witnessing in our latest satellite animation,

00:31which are continuously affecting parts of the Southern Luzon and Kabisayaan,

00:36are due to the effect of the shear line or the cold and hot winds.

00:41And because of the effect of the shear line,

00:43we will still experience moderate to heavy rains in parts of Kabisayaan as well as in the Southern Luzon today.

00:51Meanwhile, here in Luzon,

00:53there is a continuous shear line of cold and hot winds or North-East Monsoon,

00:56and this will also result in heavy rains in a large part of the Northern and Central Luzon

01:01as well as in some parts of the Southern Luzon today.

01:05There is also a part of Mindanao,

01:07where we can also see these typhoons that are mostly affecting the eastern sections of the Mindanao area.

01:15Those are the easterlies or the hot winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.

01:20So we expect that within the day,

01:22we will still experience heavy rains in the easterlies of the Mindanao area.

01:36we expect that the effect of the shear line will continue in the easterlies of Luzon over the next few days.

05:05and 30 degrees Celsius for Puerto Princesa.

05:09Temperature in Iloilo is 24 to 31,

05:13Cebu is 25 to 30,

05:15and Tacloban will reach 28 degrees Celsius.

05:20For Mindanao, Zamboanga will reach 24 to 34 degrees Celsius,

05:2630 degrees Celsius for Cagayan de Oro,

05:29and Davao will reach 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.

05:35According to our latest weather advisory,

05:38we expect that the effect of the shear line will continue,

05:42especially in the eastern sections of Luzon in the coming days.

05:46Today, we still expect moderate to heavy rains

05:49in the Bicol region,

05:51as well as in Quezon and the provinces of Maropa and Visayas.

05:56But when tomorrow comes,

05:58the axis of the shear line will gradually increase.

06:01It is possible that the effect of the shear line

06:05in the Bicol region will gradually decrease

06:07and affect the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon.

06:11So tomorrow, we may experience moderate to heavy rains

06:16in Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, and Marines Norte.

06:25because it is possible that floods or landslides will occur,

06:28especially in hazard-prone or low-lying areas.

06:35we still have a gale warning in the coastal areas of Catanduanes,
