00:43Today this glorious Monday following a Super Bowl massacre. So you hear the disrespect there Sean. Do you hear the disrespect?

00:49He didn't even have anything prepared for if the Eagles won the game

00:53He he must have been hoping or just expecting a miraculous comeback from by Mahomes at some point because I guess

01:01Eagles voodoo or something. I don't know C plus. I had all these three Pete gimmicks ready to go. I

01:08Honestly, I was I wasn't really in the corner of either of these two teams until this past

01:17Week, it's just so much talk about ha a three-peat. Can you believe it?

01:22And you know what it reminded me of it reminded me of before USC played Texas in the national championship game

01:28it was like a

01:30Complete two three weeks of people just debating whether or not USC was the greatest college team ever

01:36Oh my gosh, can you can you just believe how incredible they are? It felt like that. Yeah, and it disgusted me

01:42It's sickened me. I think the Chiefs players bought into it

01:46I think they just got deep pants in front of a very large audience last

01:50Yeah, I thought about that as it was 24 nothing at the half in this game and welcome in everybody

02:03But that's what I was thinking Seth as it was 24 nothing at halftime a lot of casuals watching the Super Bowl

02:09It's a lot of people

02:10Dipping into the NFL for the one of the few times they watch maybe the only time they watch and I'm thinking

02:16That maybe those people are watching the Super Bowl hoping for some sort of episodic drama back and forth, you know

02:22Yeah a game for the ages that kind of thing

02:24I think for people in our business outside of the Kansas City Chiefs

02:28radius there the ones that aren't either rooting for or covering the Chiefs or both that

02:33Last night was a joy from for many of us

02:37The Chiefs had started to take in had started to take on

02:41The persona of the New England Patriots through all those years where yeah where they they felt it was a fait accompli

02:47they were gonna win the Super Bowl and they felt that

02:50the people covering the team and rooting for the team almost acted as if they were part of the team that they were the good

02:56players

02:59Yeah, don't you don't you peasants understand how great this team is

03:04And so the way I looked at it

03:06You know with all due respect to Nate Burleson who preached to us that we should be wanting to watch greatness

03:11We did watch greatness last night

03:13the Eagles were phenomenally great in last night's game and there is something joyous to me about watching a

03:20cocky

03:21team a cocky entity

03:24I'll call it here the 53 headed monster of the Chiefs plus the coaches plus

03:29Much of the fan base and the media Bob Fesco the morning host who's licking his wounds right now

03:35and I love Bob but sat down in our

03:37Exclusive furniture hot seat and just bragged for 15 minutes as if he were under center playing quarterback

03:42There is something joyous to me and I'm curious how the people feel 7 1 3 5 7 2 4 6 10

03:48There's something joyous to me about four hours spent watching that team get its teeth kicked in. I'll tell you what

03:54I know Brady never would have done this

03:57but

03:58At the very least I was hoping he would bring up something about how when he lost to the Giants in the Super Bowl

04:03Those Giants teams did a really good job with a four-man pass rush. Yeah, if I recall properly the first game

04:08It was even more more of a big difference

04:11Spagnola was the defensive coordinator for that team all the all the defensive wizardry

04:16Doesn't it kind of falls apart when you're going against really good teams because at some point you just got to line up and play

04:21And my one thought the entire evening was man

04:24the Eagles are just physically tougher and more talented and

04:29More disciplined than the Chiefs are. Yeah, but in those games where Brady fell vic

04:38Come in second pass rush, you know what he did he made a game of it

04:41Mm-hmm didn't have the worst game of his career either time

04:44Yeah

04:44He actually competed as opposed to Pat Mahomes who just who fell apart and it was I mean still a great quarterback and all

04:51That but I do think I don't think it's an over dramatization

04:55To say that all right

04:56This was emphatic proof that I don't think you have to worry about the Chiefs

05:00Reigning over the league for the next 10 years just because Pat Mahomes is only 29 years old

05:05Yeah, they they were not they were not a great

05:09Dominating team in the regular season the credit to them for being a veteran and savvy and winning as many games as they did in

05:16The fourth quarter that's that's really hard to do

05:18It wasn't just dumb luck that they won all those fourth quarter games and one score games

05:22But there they couldn't line up and play against that football team last night

05:26No, the Eagles are just a flat-out better and more dominant football team

05:30The it was um, it was really fun to watch

05:33It felt like the Super Bowls of our youth when it wasn't much of a game

05:36Remember that the 80s like every year that every year the Super Bowl

05:40Generally sucked. It was a blowout for like six like like for like six or seven not maybe not all those years

05:46But yeah

05:47Like from like really from like the Bears destroying the Patriots through like the end of the decade

05:52That's what that was like last night. It was 40 to 6 at one point

05:56Well, I'm sure we'll get into discussions at some point today tomorrow

05:59Whatever about what you just alluded to like, okay

06:02Where does where does this put the Chiefs as far as dynasties go if we're making comparisons and whatnot?

06:07And I think it is noteworthy that the Chiefs are 3 and 2 now in Super Bowls

06:11But their point differential is like negative 30 like in the two games

06:15They've lost in the Super Bowl

06:18Like, you know the Patriots went six and three in the Super Bowl during the Brady era there

06:23They lost it in the waning moments on a helmet catch

06:27They lost in another close game and then they lost to to Nick Foles

06:31And and the Eagles when Brady threw for 500 yards in there was it? Yeah, it was a really high-scoring game

06:36Yeah, I think that yeah any of the goat conversations or anything. I feel like Brady

06:41Bernard man, there was so much just just extending the line on the graph upwards for Pat Mahomes and

06:49Laying out this red carpet to where obviously he's gonna be the greatest quarterback of all time

06:55Yeah, it's not necessarily gonna be all that easy. It's they've got more tough free agency decisions to make this year

07:02They've got really good players who are free agents one of them the guard right guard Trey Smith

07:07Would be look good in a Texans uniform and

07:10It's just not so simple

07:12They were Mahomes the last two years in the regular season has been very good in the playoffs on average until last night, right?

07:19and but they just they haven't been as

07:22Dominant as an offense he he looked like to me

07:26I'm with when that game was really starting to slip out of control for the Chiefs. There was a sequence

07:32The sequence I thought with the Chiefs got the ball down 10 nothing

07:35So it's still a game at that point even Nick Wright had tweeted at that point like alright, they're down 10 nothing

07:40This is where the game begins in the Super Bowl for the Chiefs because they that's every Super Bowl

07:44They've won. They've they've been down by 10 points in their mo. Right, right

07:48So they so so they were down 10 nothing the point where the game quote-unquote begins for the Chiefs Eagles went sack

07:58Sack

07:59Chiefs get so now they're down 17 nothing Chiefs get the ball back

08:03TFL on the first play

08:05Short-run on the second play and then another sack on third down

08:08It was three and out and and then it was but you know, but and then by halftime, it's 24 nothing

08:13You know the the Chiefs turn the ball over on downs

08:16Eagles take the shot to Devante Smith. No, no, I'm sorry Mahomes to the next pick

08:20He threw a pick right before the half. Yeah turnover on downs is in the second anyways, so it's 24 nothing in Mahomes

08:25Has made two cataclysmic mistakes in this game and he's been running for his life and Seth what it reminded me of

08:31Mahomes looked like CJ Stroud did during that stretch in the middle of the season where he just couldn't escape pressure

08:37there was pressure on over half the plays and

08:40Mahomes they did a great job of keeping him in the pocket and making sure he didn't sneak out

08:45You know, that's how you get those sacks

08:47Mahomes isn't getting all those little tippy-toe runs that he gets for about 20 or you know, 25 yards, whatever it is

08:52I'm watching this. I'm like man

08:53I've seen this movie before a very capable quarterback

08:56Who's just being snowed under because his offensive line is completely overwhelmed right now

09:01Yeah, and that offensive line that's banged up and it just hasn't been a strength of their team all year

09:06they were having to contend with Jalen Curtis the defensive tackle for the Eagles, so

09:11Those guys on the edge is just they had one-on-ones and they were able to tee off and Joe Tooney

09:17who's been playing out of position and

09:20Deferred throughout the playoffs that you could just tell they've they've they've figured everything out about him

09:26Yeah, just he looked like a guy that is a guard for a reason

09:29Yeah, I thought Jalen Hurts ends up winning the MVP, by the way, and he was outstanding. He was great

09:34He was in control the entire time

09:38Down on his push he got a touchdown in in the short red zone

09:43He dropped one in the bucket to Devante Smith like he you know, he was showing that he was thrown to the entire route tree

09:49I thought he was great

09:50I thought Josh sweat could have made a run at MVP just based on how crucial he was

09:54To that sequence in the second quarter, you know those sacks I was talking about he had one and a half of those

10:01He got pressure on the second

10:03Interception the one that gave the Eagles the short field that they turned into the 24-nothing lead like he shoved

10:09Tooney back into my homes right on the deck to Zach Vaughn

10:12I thought I thought Joshua it seemed really hard to give it to one guy on that front because Williams had two sacks

10:17He pointed out Jalen Carter was really good

10:19Well in the Chiefs defense in the first half was playing really well they had allowed ten points it's just that the

10:26my homes had coughed up seven and

10:29The damn broke in the second half. They just they couldn't keep it up

10:33Yeah, the whole thing I did I get annoyed sometimes with the the way they talk about well

10:39Jalen Hurts hasn't been pressured at all. They'd use that based on the actual pass attempts, you know

10:45He was pressured and he ran really well there. It's hard to account for a quarterback that squats twice his own body weight

10:51You know like he's he's such a freakishly

10:54Different type of quarterback because it's not just that he can run. It's that he's so freaking powerful

11:01And he you know one thing I appreciated about Jalen Hurts Sean for a big strong physical quarterback

11:06Yeah, he slides the way the slide rule is intended to be used. Yeah, he he just goes down and he protects himself

11:13Yeah, and you don't have to worry. I noticed I know I know even the Chiefs to

11:18Defenders look around the sideline. So the Chiefs defenders when they saw that hurts was about to run out of bounds. They respected him

11:24Yeah, yeah, because he's not he's not dinking and exploiting a rule. That's meant to protect quarterbacks. That's right

11:30We Pat Mahomes does yep

11:31we got a lot to get into with this Super Bowl man 40 to 22 the final score the Eagles just

11:37Destroy it 40 to 22 and the game was not as close as the final score would indicate if that's I mean

11:44She said 275 yards of offense. I feel like they got a hundred of it after it was 40 to 6

11:49So yeah, yeah, those were completely worthless in meeting. Yeah, it was it was it was complete destruction

11:55Something to build on for the future

11:57Xavier worthy, right, right, right, right. They're gonna take that into next year fuel. Yeah
