00:00The start of the campaign period for the national candidates for the election of 2025 is tomorrow.
00:06Comelec will remind the candidates about their campaign materials in the report of Sandra Aguinaldo.
00:15The Common Poster Areas in Coronadal City have been marked for the start of the campaign period for the national candidates this February 11.
00:25This means that campaign materials outside of the designated area are no longer allowed.
00:30A notice will be issued to all the candidates that there are illegally posted materials,
00:34those related to public properties, to be removed within a period of three days.
00:39If not removed, we will be charged with election offense and at the same time, disqualification.
00:45Because the campaign period for the local candidates is still March 28, their posters will not be removed.
00:52Campaign materials can be used in private areas as long as the owner has permission.
00:58According to the Comelec Regulation, campaign materials must be biodegradable or environment-friendly,
01:05which is supported by the Eco-Waste Coalition.
01:08Let us avoid the accumulation of garbage by using environmentally sustainable campaign propaganda.
01:20The PNP wants the checkpoints throughout the country to be monitored.
01:23We don't want to delay the supporters and candidates who pass through our checkpoints longer than necessary.
01:31But we also would like to appeal to them to respect the people who pass through our checkpoints.
01:36More than 400 areas of concern will be targeted to prevent incidents of election-related violent incidents.
01:44The crackdown on loose firearms and private armed groups will continue.
01:49As the new Comelec commissioners, Atty. Maria Norina Tagaro-Casingal and Atty. Noli Pipo were also criticized.
01:57Agri-Partylist Rep. Wilbert Lee backed the run of the senator.
02:03We cannot reach all the areas because of the lack of time and machinery.
02:08Comelec said that the name of Lisa Balota will not be removed.
02:12That's why the votes against her will be considered as stray votes.
02:16Sandra Aguinaldo reporting for GMA Integrated News.
