01:13the last game and that is Mr João Gomes. First goal scorer. Nice little finish but

01:20overall was a better team with João in that starting 11. Wouldn't you say? I think so.

01:27I mean he's fortunate to get a goal really. I mean if the the Blackburn goalkeeper well

01:32maybe maybe it won't be too harsh but if he was a slightly more on it let's say it wouldn't

01:36have been more nil at that time. Look João Gomes I thought he bossed that midfield. I

01:42thought he ran the game particularly at times when Wolves were maybe slightly on the back

01:47foot when Blackburn were creating a couple chances in that first half an hour or so.

01:52He is the kind of player that he's just so desperate to get out there and when he misses

01:57a game and particularly a game like you know Westminster begins Villa with suspension.

02:00He's watching from the sidelines. He comes out and celebrates with the team when they

02:05get that massive win against Villa and he's the kind of player that he's just so desperate

02:08to get back in. And to be honest I think it would have been cruel of Vito Pereira not

02:12to play João Gomes in this game because the player would have been absolutely desperate

02:16to get out there and feature regardless of who it's against regardless of the competition.

02:20He just wants to play football. He wants to play for this football club. So that is the

02:24kind of attitude that you want and he goes out there and performs like a player who hasn't

02:28played for two years let alone a week. He's so full of energy. He's so good in the tackle.

02:35He carries the ball really nicely links up well with the forwards. He is creating becoming

02:41a little bit of a goal threat. I think the numbers maybe could do with some some improvements

02:46but he's getting into good areas. He's getting into dangerous areas and he's able to do that

02:51when he's got players around him that allow him that little bit of freedom. Now I didn't

02:56think against but against Blackburn it would really be able to do that because Bella guard

03:00is more that forward thinking kind of player but he did well alongside of a sort of honorable

03:04mention for Bella guard and allowed Joe Gomez have that little bit of freedom. So I thought

03:09it worked worked really nicely. Now you've got to remember it is against championship

03:13opposition. It's against a team that their manager. There was a lot of reports by him

03:17going for the game. There were eight changes for them. I mean the opposition were not certainly

03:22at full strength by any means on and off the pitch but you can only play what's in front

03:26of you and Joe Gomez played a massive part in what's winning that game. Yeah. And look

03:31depending on what the situation is going into Liverpool and going forward you would expect

03:36Andre will be back into that side and Bella guard might miss out. And if he does you talk

03:41about Joe Gomez popping up a little bit more you would have thought that Andre is definitely

03:44more of a six and Joe Gomez would be the further forward of the two that these opportunities

03:48to score goals to create assists will be will be more frequent going forward. I think so.

03:55Yeah. I mean it's about having that sort of balance in the two and not playing within

04:00the same lines. I forget exactly which game it was but I think it was was it Joe Gomez

04:06and Tommy Doyle playing together early on in Vito's time taking over this club and they

04:12were playing within the same lines and they would leave it. I think I think it was the

04:14forest game actually. Yeah. Playing in the same lines leaving the spaces for forest account

04:19and that's where their first goal came from. It's about having that partnership being intelligent

04:25with the space. And I think Andre as the kind of player he is allows the players around

04:30him to do that. And he and Joe Gomez compliment each other perfectly. It is a debate for another

04:34day but with Bella God performing pretty well at the moment it would be harsh to drop him

04:39but having competition having players performing can only be a good thing for this team because

04:44they need to win games they need to get themselves out of trouble.
