Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival Lights Up the Sky in New Taipei City

00:18The Lantern Festival marks the end of the Lunar New Year holiday.

00:21Since 1999, Pingxi District has held an annual Sky Lantern Festival where people release

00:26lanterns into the air.

00:28Fifty exchange students from 17 countries took part in this year's event to symbolize

00:32world peace, and a six-meter-tall snake lantern took center stage at the festival, a symbol

00:37of prosperity in the Year of the Snake.
