00:00Amno's Supreme Council member, Tengku Zafrul Aziz, is said to be considering taking a short

00:07break from politics before joining PKR, despite a push from the Anwar Ibrahim-led party to

00:14commit immediately after leaving Amno.

00:17A well-placed source told FMT that he is also expected to leave Amno before the end of his

00:23term as a senator at year-end.

00:26Tengku Zafrul, who is the investment, industry and trade minister, is currently serving a

00:31second term in the Dewan Negara.

00:34Separately, another source said there was a possibility of him joining the party after

00:40the end of the current parliamentary meeting.

00:43Tengku Zafrul is expected to join a division with an urban Malay world base such as Ampang,

00:49Petaling Jaya or Pandan.

00:52Yesterday, Tengku Zafrul said he would decide on his future with Amno after discussing the

00:57matter with party president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

01:01Last December, Anwar confirmed that talks were underway for Tengku Zafrul to join the
