00:00Wow.
00:00All right, here's the final mix.
00:01And it's got it, right when we're on the crosswalk.
00:04How do you know what they say, Mr. Worldwide?
00:06Pitbull just said in an email he's
00:08donating 100% of his royalties to LA Fire Relief,
00:12waving his feet.
00:14What a freaking goat legend.
00:16That's breaking news right here.
00:17God.
00:19And it looks like a bomb had got off.
00:22So much smoke in the air.
00:23And I look, and our house is like at the top
00:26in the middle of it.
00:27Hi.
00:28How are you?
00:29Is it good?
00:29Any drinks I can get you started with?
00:31Yes, maybe just get a glass of voodoo.
00:35Oh, here we go.
00:36Muckbang, a croissant.
00:38Heidi says that when I say muckbang, it's a little intense.
00:41Yeah.
00:46Cheers to our health.
00:48Oh, yeah.
00:49And our future.
00:50There's a fire right over our house,
00:51so please say some prayers for us.
00:53And it's amazing.
00:55Please say some prayers for us.
00:57I think it's a mandatory evacuation.
00:59And I'm going to pack up here.
01:01I went to evacuate at Spencer's parents' house, which
01:04is down the street from us.
01:06I thought, OK, we'll spend the night here.
01:09Hopefully, I'll go home.
01:10I got there, and the whole town was gone.
01:13We had just missed that crazy wave on sunset, where everyone
01:16was having to leave their cars and run.
01:19But thankfully, we missed that because I had my two kids,
01:22and I had 104 fever.
01:24So I was so focused on mom mode.
01:26Spencer was still at the house, and I was waiting for him.
01:28And a part of me didn't want to leave, because I'm like,
01:31if I leave, he might stay even longer.
01:34So I put on my hiking shoes, and I
01:36ran up to our hiking trail that we go on every day.
01:39And I think we're good.
01:40You know, the planes are dropping the water,
01:42and I'm making, like, Snapchats.
01:43You know, it's still so far away from us,
01:45but I see it start creeping down this hill,
01:49and I see it hit its first house.
01:50And I was like, ooh.
01:52So that was when I started getting, like, concerned.
01:54You know, you don't realize how fast, far away is with fire
01:58until you see it just, like, coming like a tsunami.
02:01I loaded up the suitcases, and I hit PCH.
02:04And when I got there, I looked behind me,
02:07and it looked like a bomb had got off.
02:09There was so much smoke in the air.
02:11And I look, and our house is, like,
02:13at the top and the middle of it.
02:15You have to leave.
02:16You have two sons.
02:17You have me.
02:19You've got to go.
02:20I always thought, for sure, our house,
02:21we were going to lose our house.
02:22Never did I think my parents' house,
02:24where I grew up, by the ocean.
02:26My dad, when I asked him, like, you have insurance, right?
02:29He's like, this house is 150 years old.
02:32For it to burn down, that would mean the whole city
02:34would burn down.
02:35I'm like, well, Dad.
02:36This is our house we lived at during the hills filming.
02:40I didn't know if I would get in, but thankfully, you know,
02:43we've been calling the paparazzi on ourselves for years.
02:46So I have a lot of relationships with photographers,
02:48and they have media badges.
02:50We hiked up.
02:51It was just, like, out of body.
02:52It still is.
02:53The only thing that did survive, the pot
02:55that I, every day for eight years,
02:57made fresh hummingbird nectar in.
02:59Because as the house is about to burn down,
03:01I'm so insane that I was making fresh nectar
03:04and hanging it out for the hummingbirds.
03:06Because I'm thinking, the hummingbirds need nectar
03:08because all their plants are burning.
03:10So I truly, instead of, like, packing more stuff,
03:13was making hummingbird nectar and hanging it on the things,
03:18like a lunatic psychopath.
03:20So I'm, like, looking in my closet,
03:23and then I'm thinking, this is all stupid.
03:25When I do think, like, I should have grabbed this,
03:26I should have grabbed that, I always come back to,
03:29I should have actually grabbed less.
03:31I should have left sooner.
03:32My mom called me from Colorado, and she's like,
03:34leave everything and leave now.
03:42We should do our next video here at the pier.
03:44Yeah, I mean, I personally have been calling every single day
03:48asking when we can start cleaning up our,
03:49as they call it, debris,
03:51otherwise known as our existence.
03:54We can't afford to rebuild our house in this moment.
03:58We have a dream, we have a hope.
04:00We are gonna do what we can, not just for ourselves,
04:03but for our friends, for our community,
04:05for everybody to rebuild the Palisades.
04:08Obviously, we're looking into everything.
04:10We just want accountability.
04:11It's not a political thing, not at all.
04:13Our next-door neighbors, whose house also burned down,
04:17I was just in their daughter's wedding.
04:19I was one of the groomsmen.
04:20She married my best friend, who's a lawyer representing us.
04:23So it's all of our neighbors on our block.
04:25This isn't like a Heidi and Spencer, like,
04:28oh, let's try to do a money grab.
04:30This is our neighbors.
04:31It's everybody that's been there for 40 years on this street.
04:34If everything's all legit and everything was held,
04:37then obviously we'll lose the case.
04:39If not, it would be nice for everybody
04:41who lost their house and all their possessions
04:43to get some money out of whatever went wrong.
04:46You know, it's definitely been a process for our kids.
04:49Thankfully, they've come to a place
04:51that has been like a second home to them.
04:53We do come to Santa Barbara, and, you know, they know it well.
04:56When I had Gunnar in the car,
04:57I could tell he was a little nervous and scared
04:59and just starting to talk about the house being gone.
05:03And I was like, well, what are we gonna rebuild?
05:05What do you want in there next time?
05:07Like, we always talked about your dream home.
05:09You know, the house, yeah, it is gone,
05:10but, like, what's your dream?
05:11We are gonna rebuild your dream.
05:13And so, like, I'm crying in the front and so sad,
05:16and I am trying to, like, breathe.
05:18I can't have an anxiety attack right now.
05:21I need to focus, and I need to help my kids.
05:24People keep asking, like,
05:25how do you have all this energy?
05:26I'm like, obviously, I keep saying
05:28we're better than a lot of people on Earth.
05:30We're not insane.
05:31But we also are starting at zero
05:33for what we have built for our family,
05:36and the energy is rebuild.
05:38Again, people are like, what is wrong with you?
05:40I'm like, this is the opposite of crashing out.
05:43It's actually the opposite of crashing up.
05:45I feel like since you've been with him,
05:47I've just watched that slowly go away.
05:49This is my first apology in about 24 years.
05:53We're thankful for where we started
05:55and all the opportunities and happy to move forward
05:58because we've been trying to move forward from that
06:00for a long time.
06:02It definitely has been a bittersweet experience for us.
06:07Obviously, we had a different experience
06:09than a lot of the cast from it.
06:11For us to be able to feel people really come together
06:14and just support us and our family
06:16and to kind of burn off literally that shell
06:20and that stigma that we had for so many years
06:23is nice that people can finally see through that
06:26and see that there was always a love story and a heart,
06:29and that was always what Spencer and I focused on.
06:32And to be able to share that with the world
06:35for the first time and have people
06:36be able to see us differently,
06:39you know, that's been such a blessing.
06:48Shout out all the Philippines.
06:49Heidi is number four top music video
06:52in the Philippines with All Do It.
06:58Mukbang this soup. Hold on.
07:00Okay, see? Mukbang this soup is like a little much.
07:03So at the time, right before the fires,
07:06we were planning on doing a new single every two weeks.
07:10We already had them, like, all the dates,
07:12all the images, everything,
07:14from here for the next, like, year.
07:16You know, we were in music mode,
07:18so it was an easy segue for Spencer
07:21to just be like, I'm leaning all in
07:23on the music that we have been working on
07:25that can translate into us rebuilding his house.
07:29And he was just like, okay,
07:30I'm gonna rally the nation behind my wife.
07:35You're international, 14 countries.
07:37You're popping in Oman, baby.
07:39And I was so focused on the kids
07:42and school and just these steps
07:45that we were able to divide and conquer,
07:47which we've always done so well.
07:48Everybody, which we couldn't have anticipated,
07:51really rallied behind us and were supporting.
07:53You know, Emily Rada posted it,
07:55Alex Earl posted it,
07:56and all these huge influencers.
07:58And then last night, Jayla Alvarez.
08:00I literally was on my hands and knees like,
08:03Jesus, like, I love Jayla.
08:04And then we were in touch with Pitbull,
08:06and he got on the phone with me,
08:07and that was one of the most heartfelt,
08:10sincere, kind moments in my life
08:12of a superstar taking time out of his day
08:14to be like, Mamacita, I got you,
08:16and God has got you,
08:17and we're gonna use this to bless the world
08:19and the nation, and let's help.
08:20And hearing him say, Heidi,
08:22when God closes a door, he opens a window.
08:25And it just, like, hit my heart so hard
08:27because, you know,
08:28I'm a really religious person in my own self,
08:31and just to hear him confirm that, like,
08:33God has, like, a plan for me.
08:36It's just like, it just reconfirms that, like,
08:39even though something's so hard,
08:41something so good can come out of it.
08:43Ladies and gentlemen, you're listening
08:45to the new play Wild.
08:46It's been really refreshing to have
08:50this new generation listening to music
08:52for the music,
08:53and not with the stigmas attached,
08:54and the hate, and the negativity.
08:56So to have it just be able to be
08:58purely listened to has been such a blessing.
09:01And I love that people are embracing the new music
09:03because we really did go for that new genre of pop.
09:10One of the writers said to Heidi, like,
09:11you know the audience listening to your music?
09:13They don't even know you're from the hills.
09:14They don't know you're a reality star.
09:16They just see this word, Heidi Montag,
09:18and they listen to this music.
09:19They don't even connect the two,
09:21and that's when I was like, oh, game on.
09:23Avril Lavigne was saying she came over
09:24to our house the other night,
09:25and she said that she had her biggest tour ever,
09:27and this younger generation loves
09:31and embraces and needs her
09:32because she is such a niche as well.
09:34Like, there's one Avril Lavigne in the world,
09:36and no one can recreate that,
09:37and that sound, and that movement.
09:39So the younger generation is also craving her,
09:42and loving her, and embracing her,
09:44and that gave me such hope, too.
09:46And Avril did invite Heidi to open for her on her tour.
09:49Any one, any city.
09:50The whole entire tour.
09:51I was like, I can't go on tour
09:52because I got two kids,
09:53but I will come to one for sure.
09:56So that was very nice of her.
09:57I love her.
09:58Truly the only thing that's been, like,
10:00getting me through this is, like,
10:01the tunnel vision of, like,
10:02first it was, like, top iTunes,
10:04and then we were like,
10:05why are you worrying about iTunes?
10:06You should be going for Billboard.
10:07And then I, like, figured that out.
10:09I was like, we're going for top Billboard.
10:11And then we were like,
10:12once you get Billboard,
10:13you need to go for a Grammy.
10:19We can't just build a house in a town
10:20that doesn't exist,
10:21so of course we want to build our house,
10:23but right now there's no town,
10:24so we have to build all of our small businesses back,
10:27and for my sons,
10:29because I never imagined my kids
10:30not living in the Palisades.
10:31I would just say to people who are like,
10:33oh, it's me, me, me,
10:34it's like, it's me, me, me right now
10:36to build everybody up.
10:38On the plane, when the oxygen mask comes out,
10:40they say, put it on yourself,
10:42and then put it on the person next to you.
10:44Right now, we're just trying
10:45to get the oxygen on our family.
10:47It seems like it's just music,
10:48but it's also about building a town back.
10:50I just want to say thank you so much
10:54to every single person who has listened to my song.
10:57Any amount of times,
10:58and continues to buy it and stream it,
11:01you have no idea how much you've helped us.
11:03Continue to just give us hope and light
11:05and love and support.
11:07It's more than music.
11:09It's our lives, it's our family,
11:11it's everything,
11:12so thank you for the depths of our being here,
11:15for charting on Billboard,
11:17which is a dream come true,
11:19and creating me to truly be a pop star,
11:22which has always been the depths of my heart.
11:24Thank you, thank you,
11:25thank you, thank you for everything.
11:27Please continue to do it.
11:29We have a long road ahead,
11:31and we're willing to fight that good fight.
11:33I'm just going to text the Pitbull one,
11:35and be like, this is the one we got with Pit.
11:36Maybe you want to get on this one too?
11:39We're going to get a new house, honey.
11:40We're going to get a new house.
11:42We're going to get a new house.
