The Gold Coast’s AACTA Awards 2025 roll out the red carpet

The red carpet has been rolled out on the Gold Coast this afternoon for the 14th AACTA Awards. While the winners won’t be announced until later tonight, celebrations have already begun.

00:09tonight from blockbusters like Furiosa's Mad Max saga to the streaming hit Boys Swallow's

00:14Universe.

00:15There's a wide range of talent on offer here tonight.

00:19Speaking of talent, Paul Kelly is set to be honoured with an award for outstanding contribution.

00:26This hit song, we all know it, How to Make Gravy, was immortalised on screen last year

00:31and that's now been nominated for several actors including Best Film.

00:36Paul Kelly will be performing tonight but also performing will be Robbie Williams.

00:40The pop star's biopic Better Man has received 16 nominations.

00:45Now that's the most for any single film in the award's 66 year history.

00:50There's moments in the movie where I'm like, that's me right?

00:55That's me.

00:56My dancing's that good right?

00:58It wasn't me.

00:59It made me sad.

01:01We've got Phoebe Tonkin of course from Boys Swallow's Universe, Simon Baker, Chris Hemsworth,

01:13Russell Crowe has hosting duties tonight but this being the Gold Coast, the awards ceremony

01:19is only just the beginning with the after party set to last well into the night.
