00:20Including the return of the Madden Cruiser a Bayou adventure

00:25Hosted by coach Bill Belichick the legend coach Bill Belichick will be riding around the state of Louisiana

00:34And soaking in all the rich traditions of the state and there's a long obviously this is a football

00:39State as well, and we're joined by some heavy hitters

00:42right now

00:44Constance Schwartz-Marini joins us Fred Anthony Smith will be producing this show guys welcome to to sports great

00:51Thanks a lot for taking the time to be with us. Thanks for having us. Thank you for having us here

00:54We love your set and well

00:56I you know what I know you guys know a thing or two about sets

00:58And you know I can't even go through all the people that you represent and everything they've done

01:03and all the shows that you've done the evolution of the black quarterback and

01:07You represent and you work closely with Michael Strahan and and so many others in the entertainment and sports industry

01:15But tell us about how you got involved with the Madden Cruiser and put this together

01:19And how did Bill but why was Bill Belichick the choice because you know?

01:23When Bill Belichick was coaching he was the grumpiest dude ever he was like the worst person with the media

01:29He wore the hoodie cut the sleeves off, but as you see now

01:33When he's not coaching his personality. He's one of the funniest guys in the business isn't yeah

01:39He's been phenomenal the way this all came about is like you said Michael Strahan

01:43And I are business partners and Michael and I having the relationship at Fox Sports with Aaron Andrews and Kermit if he working there

01:49The opportunity came for us to

01:52Do basically by the hour leading into their pregame show so when I reached out to my old friends at NFL films

01:58You know just letting them know we were going to do this

02:00They said do you have the show yet?

02:02And I said we just literally made the decision to do this so we'll come up with it

02:06But we want you didn't have the full concept you you know you said all right

02:09We're gonna produce a pregame show, but we don't know you know how we're what we're gonna

02:13Do with it and you decided about it, so no we didn't so what happened

02:17We just had the hour, but we said we want something that's gonna really represent, New Orleans

02:21Which is sports music culture all of it so in the films guys Ross Ketover said well

02:26We might have something for you because Mike Madden reached out to Bill Belichick

02:30And said we would love the family would love for you to use our dad's bus in New Orleans

02:35However you want and we're like well. We've got an hour

02:38We love coach who doesn't love Madden and here you go, so that's how it all came together

02:42And Fred Bill Belichick's a guy that has a ton of accomplishments

02:46But it must been an honor for him

02:47But it must be an honor for you to be part of the Madden legacy right now and be part of this well

02:53I mean the thing that was really interesting about this show especially with coach Belichick as you mentioned

02:58We're seeing his personality now this past year. You know it's it's as funny as he is it's as charismatic as he is

03:05But when you're doing a show like this, and you're interviewing so many different people you have to be an inquisitive person

03:11You have to want to know answers, and you have to you know be a good interviewer, and he was amazing

03:16So he's amazing with the football players

03:17But he was also amazing with the people that weren't football players like we learned about the history of the turducken

03:22So he's introducing and you know he's interviewing the guy who who owns the restaurant where the turducken was created. He interviews a beauty

03:29That's awesome. Yeah, he interviews a voodoo priestess

03:33Voodoo in New Orleans so seeing him you know in that element was really cool as well

03:38And you know his personality as you said really shines through you can't be that great of a coach without being

03:44You know what do they say the smartest person in the room is the one listening not talking yes

03:48I guess that's Bill Belichick right right and the other thing is he really told some stories that nobody knew and will surprise the hell

03:55Out of you, and I know we're sitting up here

03:57But I do have to thank our friends at ever wonder and NFL films because they co-produced us with us and because we bought the

04:24And it seems like the pregame shows are all day long, but I think people are really gonna

04:27Enjoy this you know they're gonna get the day started with this, and I just want to see the Madden Cruiser

04:32I mean now I mean you look at the tour buses that some of these bands tour on there. They're basically there

04:37They're condominium. Yeah, the Madden Cruiser was just basically an old-school great

04:42It's the same so that's all I want that so yes

04:45Do you get the tour of Michael Strahan and coach and Roxy Diaz literally?

04:50Can you give us a little sneak peek a little hint of what the bus looks like on the inside same carpet?

04:54It's the same booth the same landline phone, which how he has a landline phone

05:02Gangster guys, that's pretty G. Right well. You know it's like Rockford file style old-school, right James Garner

05:13Amazing yeah, and I look I would just say you know as far as stories go as Constance mentioned

05:17There's just amazing stories that are being told I mean Tom Brady tells an amazing story about him and coach

05:23Belichick the morning after the Super Bowl that they won here in New Orleans

05:27Which is you know it's hilarious

05:30But it's heartfelt, and you know it really goes to you know the beginning and origins of their relationship

05:34So you know Tyronne Matthew tells a great story about players involved to so there's Bill Belichick

05:39And you as you stated you speak to other people not just in the football world as you tour the state

05:43But who are some of the other players that are involved in this as well Archie Manning Ed Reed Ty Law

05:48I love Tyronne Matthew

05:50I mean Ed Reed talks about

05:51Being home for the blackout Bowl the last time the Super Bowl was here in New Orleans and the lights going out

05:58You know Ty Law talks about winning that first Super Bowl with coach Belichick here in New Orleans

06:04Super Bowl 36, so there's a lot of football history, but there's also you know we we talk about food and music

06:10They spend some time at Preservation Hall

06:14You know as I mentioned coach Belichick interviews a voodoo priestess, which is hilarious

06:19And then you know we we had

06:21Had to find a way to acknowledge the legacy of Hurricane Katrina

06:25Well 20 years now since since that tragedy so Roxy Diaz coach Belichick Kurt Menefee and Michael

06:32They go to the memorial and spend some time there as well and talk about the Saints in and the role the Saints played in

06:38Rebuilding the city and it's so strong and resilient though isn't it from Hurricane Katrina and just so much rich history

06:46and you feel it when you walk through the streets and unfortunately the tragedy on New Year's Eve and

06:51They just they pick themselves up, and they just they just keep going the Saints keep marching, right?

06:56And we acknowledge that a lot of us are from Los Angeles

07:01So there's a moment where we acknowledge what's been going on out there

07:03So it really does strike the right balance of celebration, but also honoring you know the one

07:10What's your takeaway from New Orleans and Louisiana?

07:13Because it is something like I always say and you know we've all been a lot of cities

07:17And you go to you know Super Bowls. You can always would you want to go back when you're not working thousand percent, right?

07:23That's always the question and I was walking through the French Quarter

07:26I was thinking man

07:27I got to come back here when I when I'm allowed to go out and really get crazy

07:33Without a doubt my favorite Super Bowl city, and it's just been so long since we've had a Super Bowl

07:37Yeah, yeah, because you can walk everywhere the food is is amazing people are friendly the weather is is great

07:44You know flew in on Sunday. It was 70 degrees. I was like this is amazing so so the fact that it's finally back here

07:50In New Orleans, it's really cool. Also, so we've all got about a minute and a half

07:55I got to get a Super Bowl predictions from you guys

07:58Patrick Mahomes Jalen hurts they meet again

08:01I'll start with you Fred are the Kansas City Chiefs going to make history because the first team to win three consecutive

08:06Tell you this these teams played two years ago, and it was extremely close close three-point game

08:12Three Super Bowls have been all decided by exactly three points as extremely close and the Eagles didn't have Saquon Barkley two years

08:18I mean do the math all right. That's so that's what he say doesn't want to say it, but he's saying it right the math

08:23What about what about you Constance you have friends, or do you represent anybody?

08:27How cool who are you closer with on on either team? I know you got connections

08:31We do we don't have any players on the team

08:34But we've worked with both of them in our evolution of the black quarterbacks

08:37So I'm gonna just have to say may the best team win. Hey the best team win

08:44We're getting trouble getting picks from people you know there's nobody let's just be real picking against Patrick Mahomes

08:50I was almost like betting against Superman right yeah

08:53And that's why I look even with even with Saquon the Eagles may have the better team

08:58But the Chiefs probably have the better the best player, so we've got about a minute left here
