00:07According to the agency, some 500 million children in these regions live amid unhealthy

00:12levels of air pollution that can fugue chronic diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular

00:20In addition, the agency stated that 373 million children live in places with unhealthy levels

00:27of nitrogen dioxide, a gas produced by vehicles, factories and power plants, which aggravates

00:33asthma and other respiratory infections.

00:36Moreover, other consequences include brain development difficulties and the risk of school

00:41closures, which can severely affect the children's education.
