Man’s body found at Talawahl Rest Stop, Possum Brush.

00:00At about 10 o'clock this morning, police started receiving reports of conservative welfare

00:04for an unresponsive male who was at the Tullawal Creek Rest Area just off the Pacific Highway

00:08to Possumbrush.

00:09That's about 15 kilometres south of Taree.

00:11The male was unresponsive and in attending, police performed CPR on the male which was

00:15then continued by the attending paramedics.

00:18Unfortunately, all such efforts were to no avail and the male pronounced deceased.

00:22That's what police are really seeking some information about.

00:25We're very interested to talk to anyone who was at the Tullawal Creek Rest Area, either

00:28yesterday being Wednesday the 5th of February, or today, particularly anyone who may have

00:33noticed the man.

00:34He had a dark coloured Hyundai Staria van, some of the people there may have noticed

00:38him.

00:39Otherwise, police are very interested to speak to anyone with dash cam footage that may have

00:42been installed with their vehicle.

00:44Even without knowing that they have footage that may be of interest to us, anyone who

00:48is there, if they could come forward and make that footage known to us, we can review it

00:51and see if it's a deceased.

00:52It's preliminary investigations underway, it's early days.

00:55The crime scene has been established, there's been a report prepared for the coroner.

01:00Police will continue those crime scene examinations there.

01:03Another priority is to identify a next of kin, a suitable next of kin for the deceased

01:08person and provide them with the sad news.

01:10They're the two main priorities at this stage.
