00:00We'll see.
00:01I mean, I think it's a valid question of kind of what of this is just bluster and blunder.
00:07You know, a lot of the information that's being shared is simply false.
00:10You know, recently the White House secretary for the press was telling everyone that there
00:15was $50 million in condoms going to Gaza and that that was an excuse for why they really
00:21had to review everything.
00:22Well, there was no $50 million worth of condoms going to Gaza.
00:26That was just fiction.
00:27So a lot of what is circulating is made up, you know, facts with a tiny bit of truth that
00:32are not actually what they appear, and a lot of things that are just disingenuous.
00:37So the core question is, why is this administration attacking aid programs this way?
00:42What we know is that right now the freeze that's been put on aid programs is having
00:46hugely disastrous impact.
00:49People aren't getting HIV treatment.
00:51People aren't getting HIV prevention.
00:53There are lives being lost right now because the administration has paused all aid.
00:59This isn't like a business.
01:00You can't run it like a business.
01:01This is lifesaving work.
01:03And so stopping it right now is having deeply damaging effects.
