00:00But it's not being well-run, to be honest, and they're not doing...
00:06...withdraw the United States from the UN Human Rights Council,
00:10would withdraw the United States from the...
00:13Again, it's got great potential, and based on the potential,
00:16we'll continue to go along with it, but...
00:19Next up, in light of numerous actions
00:22taken by a number of bodies of the United Nations
00:25which exhibit a deep anti-American bias,
00:28we have an executive order prepared for your attention
00:31that would withdraw the United States from the UN Human Rights Council,
00:35would withdraw the United States from the UNRWA,
00:38which is a refugee organization,
00:41and would also review American involvement in UNESCO,
00:46which has also exhibited anti-American bias.
00:49More generally, the executive order calls for a review
00:52of American involvement and funding in the UN
00:56in light of the wild disparities in levels of funding
00:59among different countries that, as you've expressed previously,
01:03is deeply unfair to the United States.
01:06So I've always felt that the UN has tremendous potential.
01:10It's not living up to that potential right now.
01:13It really isn't, hasn't for a long time.
01:16There are great hopes for it,
01:19but it's not being well-run, to be honest,
01:24and not doing the job.
01:26A lot of these conflicts that we're working on should be settled,
01:29or at least we should have some help in settling them.
01:32We never seem to get help.
01:34That should be the primary purpose of the UN, the United Nations.
01:37And again, it's got great potential, and based on the potential,
01:40we'll continue to go along with it,
01:43but they've got to get their act together.
01:50What would they need to do to get their act together?
01:53They've got to be fair to countries that deserve fairness.
01:56They have some countries, as you know,
01:59that are outliers, that are very bad,
02:02and they're being almost preferred as countries
02:05to those that do their job and are doing a good job,
02:09and they have to really...
02:11They're going to end up losing a lot of countries.
02:13They're going to end up losing their credibility,
02:15like other organizations, and then they're going to be nothing.
02:18The potential of the United Nations,
02:20and not everybody agrees with me on this,
02:22the potential of the United Nations is fantastic,
02:25if properly run.
02:27So we'll see what happens.
02:32Well, we're taking away a little bit,
02:34but we're not looking to take away money.
02:36This is so important that we're really...
02:38As you know, the United Nations is largely funded by us,
02:42and it shouldn't be.
02:44It should be funded by everybody,
02:46but we're disproportionate, as we always seem to be.
02:49But it's something that if it ever lived up to the potential,
02:52in ten minutes it would make up the difference.
02:55That's the kind of power it could have.
02:57Right now it doesn't have that power.
