00:00The House has passed a number of important bills for the benefit of the Filipinos.

00:15A few days before the recess, the House has passed a number of important bills.

00:24Like House Bill 11357, which is an amendment to the Universal Health Care Act,

00:31which has been approved in the third and final reading of the bill.

00:36Under this bill, the premium contribution rate will be lowered in PhilHealth,

00:40and the state insurer's benefit will be improved, especially for OFWs.

00:47The Department of Health is very pleased with this move by the Camera.

00:51According to DOH Secretary Teodoro Herbosa, this is considered a major development,

00:56and they are also looking forward to the discussion of the bill in the Bicameral Conference Committee.

01:02Aside from that, in the last reading of the Camera,

01:05the bill pushes for individuals who have obtained the Certificate of Candidacy

01:09to be considered as nuisance candidates in the election,

01:13so that they can earn or receive other considerations.

01:16The capacity of the Bureau of Animal Industry and the Animal Competitiveness Enhancement Fund

01:23are also being considered.

01:25The Philippine Sports Heroes are also allowed to play in the stadiums of Bayani.

01:30There are also two recommendations on the management of cigarettes and other harmful products.

01:37Meanwhile, there is good news for the workers.

01:41After reading the committee level on Tuesday,

01:44the House Bill No. 11376 was also approved in the second reading of the Camera,

01:49which is a bill to distribute an additional P200 per day

01:53to minimum wage workers in the private sector.

01:56This was fully supported by various labor groups,

01:59such as the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines,

02:01which again asked the President to certify the bill as urgent.
