00:00This week, House Speaker Martin Romualdez sent three impeachment complaints against Vice President Sara Duterte to House Secretary-General Reginald Velasco.
00:13The complaints were submitted last December, but according to Velasco,
00:17he waited for the fourth impeachment complaint, so he did not immediately send the first complaints to the office of the House Speaker.
00:26This is the last week that the Congress has a session before they adjourn for the election campaign in 2025.
00:33When the term of the current Congress ends in June,
00:36a new impeachment complaint must be submitted if it is still wanted.
00:41But according to Velasco, out of the 1003 congressmen who signed the impeachment complaint,
00:46it can now go straight to the Senate and not to the House Committee on Justice.
00:52Earlier, President Marcos said that the time of the Congress in the impeachment is wasted, so he is not favored here.
00:59However, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin does not care about the President as long as the government is co-equal.
