00:00Minister. Now the award-winning Velfry Vineyard in my constituency is a real
00:04gem with PGI status Sparkling Brute and Sparkling Brute Rose. I'm also delighted
00:09to share with the Chamber that the vineyard is shortlisted in the
00:12Countryside Alliance Awards Best Local Food and Drink Category and I urge
00:16everyone here to vote for Velfry Vineyard. The owner Andy Mountsey is also
00:22chair of the Welsh Vineyards Association but not everything is as sparkling as it
00:27may seem as your proposed DRS scheme is leaving a bitter taste in the mouth of
00:32Welsh vineyards. There's more, there's more. Andy said all of the customers
00:38responding to our survey said that they already returned their bottles for
00:42recycling or reuse so the cost, complexity and concern caused by the
00:48inclusion of glass can have no upside as it's impossible to improve on 100%. He
00:54added that we would urge the Welsh Government to consider removing glass
00:58altogether from the DRS or at least ensuring that all Welsh wine production
01:03is exempted. So Deputy First Minister will you toast the success of Welsh
01:09vineyards by heeding the advice of Andy or will you tell them to put a cork in
01:13it and ignore their concerns?
