00:0086% of public utility vehicle operators and drivers have joined the government's consolidation
00:06program.
00:07Transportation Undersecretary Jesus Ferdinand Ortega announced that the Department of Transportation
00:12will begin route rationalization under the Local Public Transport Route Plans, or LPTRP,
00:19which will take two years to complete.
00:21Afterward, the Public Transport Modernization Program will replace old jeepneys with modern
00:26units.
00:27LPTRP includes details on routes, service modes, vehicle requirements, schedules, and
00:32stop locations, which will guide the issuance of Certificates of Public Convenience, or
00:37for operators.
00:38So this will happen for the next two years.
00:42After the two years, Johnny, that's when we will replace the so-called modern vehicles.
