Enrique Tarrio: Jan. 6 a ‘protest gone wrong’

Former Proud Boys chairman Enrique Tarrio says the events at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, were protests that just went “wrong.”

00:00It was a horrific, I mean, I covered it live on television for a French TV channel.

00:05It was the scenes that none of us ever imagined we'd see.

00:10So do you understand the need to have given it unprecedented judicial treatment as a situation as a whole?

00:20Because people did die and it could have been an awful lot worse had the police not done what they did.

00:26I wholeheartedly agree with you in the fact that it was a day that's going to go down in history.

00:33I don't agree with that being done in order to, you know, I don't know.

00:40There's a lot of individuals had a lot of different motivations for why they did it.

00:45I think it was, I honestly think it was a protest gone wrong.

00:48And you said, you know, do I understand why there was additional judicial review?

00:56And I also understand that because it was unprecedented.
