00:00It is now possible to buy cheaper rice in Merrimart under the leadership of the President's Program of the Government.

00:07This is followed by an agreement between the Department of Agriculture and Merrimart Grocery Centers Incorporated.

00:15As for the cheap rice sold in Merrimart Groceries,

00:18RFA 5 or 45 pesos for 5% broken rice,

00:23RFA 25 or 38 pesos for 25% broken rice,

00:29solid rice for 36 pesos and 29 pesos for aging but good quality rice stocks of the National Food Authority.

00:37According to Agriculture Secretary Chula Aurel Jr.,

00:40their target is to start sending supplies to the so-called supermarkets in the first two weeks of February.

00:47Aside from RFA options and P29,

00:49Merri Groceries will also launch its own 29 pesos worth of well-milled rice for consumers tomorrow.

00:58First, the DA expanded the sale of cheaper rice to public markets, MRT and LRT stations in Metro Manila.
