It’s “apt” for US President Donald Trump to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu first, Israeli foreign ministry special envoy Fleur Hassan-Nahoum says.

00:03between the US and Israeli leaders, which is on the cards.

00:08What will you be hoping for?

00:10Well, first of all, I have to say that it's incredibly apt

00:14that the first foreign leader that is invited to Washington,

00:18to the White House by President Trump

00:20has been the Prime Minister of Israel,

00:23which is a stark contrast from the last administration,

00:26where I think he was one of the last foreign leaders

00:28to be invited.

00:29So that's already a good sign for Israel.

00:32There's a lot to talk about.

00:33We have to talk about what's going to happen

00:36in Gaza post-war.

00:37We have to talk about regional normalization

00:40and regional prosperity.

00:42All Israel has ever wanted, really.
