00:00The Department of Trade and Industry praised their achievements in 2024 as well as their plans for this year.
00:08Among their accomplishments are the 20% increase in foreign investments,
00:14tighter protection on the price of the primary goods,
00:17and the strengthening of MSME development to help small businesses.
00:23In an interview with DTI Secretary Christina Roque,
00:28she said that 2025 will be more aggressive in international trade,
00:34especially in roadshows to attract global investors.
00:38They also strengthened the Create More program for better business incentives
00:43and the expansion of e-commerce for faster transactions.
00:48DTI will also focus on the creative industry
00:50and will continue to cooperate with the Department of Agriculture
00:54to lower the price of rice in accordance with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s orders.
01:01For this year, we'll make sure that we will have an aggressive approach
01:06or a nationwide approach to make sure that all these programs reach the people
01:11all the way from Luzon all the way to Mindanao.
01:14That is really our goal now because we have so many programs that are really,
01:19I should say, excellent programs.
01:21We just have to get the people to know that these excellent programs exist
01:26and if they avail of these programs or take advantage of the programs of the DTI,
01:30I assure you, they will rise.
