Storm Herminia brings heavy rain and powerful winds to Europe

Weather warnings were in parts of Spain, Portugal, France, the UK, and Ireland as Storm Herminia brought strong winds, heavy rain, and powerful waves.

00:36In France, eight regions are under orange weather warnings, while the region of Île-et-Velen

00:41is now under a red warning.

00:44Flooding has forced families in Île-et-Velen to evacuate and the water level is still rising.

00:50Meanwhile, in the UK, Devon and Cornwall remain under a yellow weather warning and

01:08more than 1,000 properties in the south-west are still without power.
