00:00Almost 3,000 police officers were arrested by the Philippine National Police in 2024

00:06as part of the continuous internal cleansing of the police force.

00:11More than 1,000 of them included rank colonels, lieutenants colonels, majors, captains, and lieutenants were suspended.

00:18In Shamraan, the police force was completely disarmed.

00:23The other punishments were demotion or demotion of rank and forfeiture of salary.

00:30According to PNP Chief Police General Romel Marbil,

00:33this shows that the Philippine National Police is serious in punishing the people who were involved in various illegal activities.
