00:06The Long March 8A rocket will be launched today from China from 5.53 p.m. to 6.42 p.m.
00:14As part of the preparations, the Office of Civil Defense, Deputy Administrator for Operations, OIC,
00:21Director Cesar E. Diong issued a memorandum ordering the relevant agencies to ensure the safety of the affected areas.
00:29There are three drop zones where the debris can go from the rocket.
00:35These are the 85-mile drop zones from the Ruzul Reef, 40-mile from Puerto Princesa, Palawan,
00:43and 33-mile from Hadji Mutamad, Basilan.
00:49The Philippine Coast Guard and other agencies who will provide information to these areas were informed.
00:55The Regional Councils were ordered to monitor the situation.
00:59The Philippine Space Agency also ordered not to approach any debris that may contain hazardous materials.
01:08It is recommended to use protective equipment if debris can be seen.
01:13The public is asked to avoid any debris seen to the local authorities.
