Weekend weather watch for Burnley Saturday and Sunday, January 25th and 26th

An amber warning has been in place across Burnley and East Lancashire due to the arrival of Storm Eowyn

00:00Hello everyone, Sue Plunkett here with your weekend weather watch for Burnley.

00:05Well, storm Eowyn has arrived with a vengeance.

00:09As you can see, gale force winds are ripping through the town

00:14and it's freezing cold as well.

00:17So let's see what the weather has in store for us for the rest of the weekend.

00:24The winds are due to ease this evening, that's Friday

00:29and there will be a mix of clear spells with patchy cloud and the odd blustery shower.

00:34Saturday will be a breezy day, we may see the odd shower at first

00:39but it will then be largely dry with sunny spells and patchy cloud.

00:43Sunday morning will be windy and mostly cloudy with the odd bright spell.
