00:00The mission of the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor is to care for the most in need of our countrymen.

00:08Here is the report.

00:12The Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor is committed to expanding their programs to help all those in need.

00:19In the program Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon, the PCUP shared the importance of their role when it comes to providing services to urban poor.

00:26PCUP Chairperson Atty. Maynard Sabili explained,

00:29their agency's membership will help a lot.

00:32Just like the demolition of informal settlers,

00:36where PCUP is trying to ensure that every human being will be protected.

00:43Before we give clearance, we have a pre-demolition conference.

00:50During the demolition conference, the local government unit, the sheriff, is there.

01:08Their agency does not do the same compared to the services provided by DSWD, DOH, and others.

01:15We have assurances that there will be no duplication because we are helping.

01:20Their department is making sure that it is implemented because we are helping.

01:35Some of the things that the agency is planning are their social preparation for those affected by infrastructure projects.

01:41PCUP is also assuring that they will receive livelihoods that will benefit more than 100,000 families.

01:48According to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.,

01:51this year, PCUP will continue to focus on the services of various agencies

01:55so that they can provide assistance to those in need.
