00:00Savings of hundreds of millions of ringgit through the step of ending tax exemptions during the holiday season

00:36is not productive for the sustainability of spending and is not enjoyed by the entire layer of society.

00:45Aimi Zulhasmi Abdul Rashid from the University of Kuala Lumpur said,

00:49targeted assistance is more effective as long as the initiative to rationalize subsidies so that it reaches the target group.

00:58Abu Sofian Yacob from the University of Kelantan also said,

01:02the savings can be used to provide better access to education,

01:07both in terms of educational assistance or to improve public transportation,

01:12in addition to investments to increase the level of road safety.
