President Donald Trump said he'd be open to the possibility of TikTok's sale to Elon Musk or Larry Ellison.

00:02I would be if he wanted to buy it, yeah.

00:07I'd like Larry to buy it, too.

00:10I have the right to make a deal.

00:13So the deal I'm thinking about, Larry, let's negotiate in front of the media.

00:17The deal I think is this, and I've met with owners of TikTok, the big owners.

00:24It's worthless if it doesn't get a permit.

00:27It's not like, oh, you can take the U.S.

00:29The whole thing is worthless.

00:31With a permit, it's worth like a trillion dollars.

00:35So what I'm thinking about saying to somebody is buy it and give half to the United States

00:40of America, half, and we'll give you the permit, and they'll have a great partner, the United

00:45States, and they'll have something that's actually more valuable because they have the

00:49ultimate partner, and the United States will make it very worthwhile for them in terms

00:54of the permits and everything else.

00:56So think of it, you have an asset that has no value or has a trillion-dollar value.

01:02It all depends on whether or not the United States gives the permit.

01:05So what I'm saying is let the United States give the permit, and the United States should

01:09get half.

01:10Sounds reasonable.
