00:04Heavy snow covered some parts of the U.S. Gulf Coast

00:08due to the severe snowstorm.

00:10According to the National Weather Service,

00:1231 million residents were affected,

00:15including southern Texans,

00:18who usually do not experience snow.

00:20More than 1,000 flights to and from Houston were canceled.

00:24There was also snow on beaches in northern Florida.

00:309.8 inches of snow was recorded.
