00:00You hear us talking about Alex Ovechkin, we're talking about trying to get 21 and 37, which

00:06I think it'll be like, it's a, it's a game to him that you want to play with me.

00:10You don't think I can score 21 goals.

00:13And then I said that he's played with Crosby, the two most significant players bar none

00:20in the NHL bar none over the last 20 years with all their cups and all their glory and

00:26the gold medals and watching these two guys tied at the hip.

00:30It's those two players that have run the National Hockey League for the last 20 years and seeing

00:34him do this as a penguin fan, I'm actually like turned on by it because I respect him

00:40that much.

00:41Yeah.

00:42These are the two generational talents of that generation.

00:45Like Conor McDavid, Leon Drysdale, whoever's coming next.

00:48That's next.

00:49In the moment, these are two generational players because they've won, Conor might win

00:53this year.

00:54The team looks really, really good, but you're right.

00:56Sid wants his cup.

00:57And I think the fact that both teams have won.

00:59So if you're a Caps fan, you're probably not hating on the Penguins because they've won

01:03three and you got yours.

01:04Same thing with the Penguins.

01:05I think everybody's rooting for Ovechkin at this point in time.

01:09And I think he'll do it as well.

01:10So it's, it's a feat that no one ever thought Scottie would be broken.

01:14It's going to be broken.

01:15And it's probably going to be broken because Scottie, you know, he's not going to stop

01:18shooting.

01:19He's not going to be looking to distribute the puck.

01:21He's not going to be a facilitator.

01:23Every time he gets a puck on a stick, he's looking to shoot and score.

01:26And so because of that, because the team is playing so good and they're an excellent team,

01:29this is not an excellent start.

01:31It's an excellent team.

01:32But because of that, he gets the freedom to shoot the puck whenever he wants because the

01:35team, whatever he does is going to keep winning.

01:38You know, we talked about yesterday, their odds are dramatic to me that they're not favored

01:45to win anything.

01:46It's still Florida.

01:48And I like the Capitals odds for at least a couple shekels because I mean, they're laying

01:54in the weeds and they're this dangerous and everybody thinks it's going to be somebody

01:58else.

01:59What do you think of their chances the way they play?

02:02And Carver Hodge said it best.

02:04They're not just up in their division.

02:06They're up in Eastern Conference running away.

02:08Yeah.

02:09They're the President's Trophy winner right now.

02:11So if you get them at a price, is it not worth a bet?

02:14Of course it is at this point, the way they're playing, you don't have to bet on this team

02:17to win the next four to five championships.

02:19You're bidding on this team to win the Stanley Cup this year.

02:21Do they have a legitimate chance?

02:23Absolutely.

02:24Because yeah, Florida might rise up and when the playoffs start in game 83, they might

02:27start playing the way they played last season.

02:29But Scotty, they played a lot of hockey.

02:31Like they were in the Cup Final two years ago.

02:33They won it all last year.

02:34How much can you play before you get exhausted and can't do it?

02:37So Washington's a legitimate team without question because you only have to do is play

02:42well in the next 40 games and then find a way to win 16 games in the postseason.

02:46It can be done.

02:47It has been done.

02:49Are they the prohibitive favorites?

02:50No, of course not.

02:51Because you have bigger names, bigger brand names other than Ovechkin on a team.

02:55You couldn't name three other caps probably.

02:57So that that's probably why the price is higher than it should be.

03:01This is a legitimate dangerous team, Scotty, from the team I've seen so far.
