Cet animateur de télévision, pionnier dans le domaine des émissions pédagogiques à destination des enfants, a marqué plusieurs générations de téléspectateurs. De 1968 à 1981, dans sa quotidienne intitulée «Mister Rogers' Neighborhood», diffusée sur la chaîne publique PBS, Fred Rogers discutait avec des enfants de 2 à 5 ans, assis près de lui, de sujets légers mais aussi plus graves, qui n'avaient encore jamais été abordés dans ce type de programme. Des membres de sa famille et d'anciens collègues évoquent la personnalité de cet homme doux et idéaliste....
