00:00The Department of Finance, or DOF, resolved concerns about how the National Tax Allotment,

00:05or NTA, shares for local government units are calculated.

00:09Finance Secretary Ralph Recto explained the NTA calculations to city mayors, ensuring

00:14they follow the 2019 Mandanas-Garcia ruling of the Supreme Court.

00:18He assured the process was transparent, with no changes made to the calculation method.

00:23The DOF chief also confirmed LGUs will get more revenue by 2026, with their share increasing

00:30from 32 percent to around 35 percent.

00:33He also emphasized the government's commitment to fair NTA distribution for LGUs.
