महाराणा प्रताप कृषि एवं प्रौद्योगिकी विश्वविद्यालय में किसानों और ग्रामीणों की आय बढ़ाने के लिए स्थानीय फलों से नए उत्पाद तैयार किए जा रहे हैं.

00:00As the name suggests, a B.Tech. degree is given in Dairy Technology and Food Technology.

00:07Students from all over Rajasthan come here.

00:11Our alumni are working in every country, in every food company.

00:19They are supporting the college and are doing a good job.

00:23Not only this, the college also works for villagers, tribals, farmers and entrepreneurs.

00:31Every year, every few days, a new product or a new research is brought in

00:36so that good healthy food, healthy drink can reach people and their health

00:42or there can be some benefit in their income.

00:46As of now, we have started preparing some novel food products for underutilized fruits and vegetables, which we use less.

00:58We have prepared a lot of products on Amla.

01:01After that, we have also worked a lot on Sita Phal and Ber Phal.

01:05Sita Phal squash is not available anywhere in the market right now

01:09because they will take out Sita Phal and it will turn black.

01:12But we have a machine in the university, with which we take out Sita Phal pulp

01:17and its shelf life is also being maintained very well.

01:22If you keep it in the fridge, then there will be no problem in its color for a year or a year and a half.

01:27Similarly, we have also worked on Ber.

01:30Ber is a round variety and you know that Ber is very much available now.

01:35It is available in a good quantity and can be grown anywhere.

01:37It is a robust crop that is also available everywhere.

01:40Its vegetables and pickles are made in every house, but its juice is very fresh in the summer.

01:48For farmers, we have some government-sponsored trainings, which are of the MSME Government of India.

01:55And right now, we have also sanctioned a project of RKVY from the Rajasthan government,

02:00in which we give free of cost training to farmers.

02:04So that they can easily grow and sell their raw material in their own villages.

02:11The research that we have done here is on Ber, which is a very underutilized fruit here.

02:17We have made a Ber product on it, which we have made probiotic as well as its carbonation.

02:22In addition, our hope, our intention in this research is that how the underutilized fruits,

02:30such as Ber, Kale Jamun, and Amla, which are available in large quantities here,

02:37and which have very little need for fertilizers, but we get a lot of benefit from it.
