00:00In the first instance, after 20 years, the Bureau of Internal Revenue exceeded the collection target of 2.848 trillion pesos in 2024.

00:12Now, BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagi Jr. clarified that they will issue the final number or value of the tax collection in mid-February.

00:23The said value was reached by BIR in spite of the low gross domestic product in 2024, which was 5.2% in the third quarter.

00:33Lumagi thanked all the employees of the agency because they were able to collect a very high value of life.
