Although the EU unemployment rate remained stable in November 2024, women were more affected than men. Spain, France, and Germany recorded the highest numbers of unemployed individuals.

00:16was 5.9% in November 2024, a decrease from 6.1% in November 2023. Spain had the highest number

00:26of unemployed individuals, with 2.74 million. France followed with 2.43 million, while Germany's

00:35unemployed population reached 1.52 million. The unemployment rate remained higher for women than

00:42for men in November 2024, at 6.1% and 5.7% respectively. There was an upward trend in

00:52employment among young adults. In November 2024, over 3 million people under the age of 25 were

01:00unemployed in the EU. This resulted in a youth unemployment rate of 15.3%, which was an increase

01:08from 15.2% in October 2024. When comparing to November 2023, youth unemployment rose by 159,000

01:18people in the EU. The countries with the highest numbers of unemployed youth were France with

01:24703,000, followed by Spain, Germany and Italy.
