00:06on the royal addendum about former Premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak's house arrest.
00:11The remarks were allegedly made on his Keluar Sekejap podcast.
00:15Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Razaruddin Hussain said two police reports were lodged
00:20against the former health minister last Friday, and the police have opened an investigation
00:25on the issue.
00:26The reports were filed by Datuk Suraya Yacob, the political secretary to de facto law minister
00:32Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, and Noor Azrina Surip, the political secretary to Federal
00:38Territories Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa.
00:41Both stated that Khairi's remarks linking the two ministers were false, defamatory and
00:46misleading, causing unease and panic among the public to the extent that it could threaten
00:51the country's peace.
00:53The IGP said the Bukit Aman CID's Special Investigation Unit will be recording Khairi's
00:59statement at his office in Bukit Damansara on Monday afternoon.
01:03The case is being investigated under Section 500 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the
01:09Communications and Multimedia Act, 1998.
