00:00Jharkhand's state employees will soon benefit from the State Employees' Health Insurance Scheme.

00:11Under this scheme, employees will be provided with a health insurance of Rs 5 lakh per year.

00:17On the other hand, health coverage of up to Rs 10 lakh will be provided for serious illnesses.

00:22Chief Minister Hemant Soren has agreed to the proposal to implement this scheme.

00:27This scheme will be implemented after the cabinet's approval.

00:31The cabinet's approval will be taken soon for the State Employees' Health Insurance Scheme proposal.

00:39The Health, Medical, Education and Family Welfare Department has proposed that on 31 July 2023,

00:45the state's working retired officers will be provided with the benefits of the Health Insurance Scheme.

00:51Since then, the proposal has been approved by the Soren government.

00:56The benefit will soon be provided to the state employees.

00:59Now, if we talk about who will benefit from this scheme,

01:04the benefit of this health insurance will be provided to the current members of the Jharkhand State Legislative Assembly,

01:10the state's caretakers, the retired and their family members,

01:15including their husband, wife, son, adopted son, daughter, unmarried or widowed.

01:23All of them will be provided with a health insurance of Rs 5 lakh per year.

01:30Apart from this, if a state employee or a retired person is handicapped,

01:36they will be provided with a lifetime health insurance.

01:39Also, state employees will be provided with a health insurance of Rs 5 lakh per year

01:44under the Health Insurance Scheme, considering beneficiaries and their dependents as a family unit.

01:51If there is any serious illness, it will be treated.

01:55In addition, on the recommendation of the hospitals related to the treatment,

01:59an extra upper limit of Rs 5 lakh will be expensed on the treatment of such serious diseases from a corporate buffer of Rs 50 crore.

02:09At the level of the Jharkhand State RGU Society,

02:11if the treatment expense of more than one insured state employee is taken from the corpus fund,

02:18with which payment can be made in such matters.
