தமிழ்நாட்டில் பொங்கல் பண்டிகை அடுத்த வாரம் கொண்டாடப்படவுள்ள நிலையில், சிவகங்கை மாவட்டம் பூவந்தி என்ற கிராமத்தில் மண் மணம் மாறாமல் உருவாக்கப்படும் பொங்கல் பானைகள் தமிழக அளவில் பிரசித்திப் பெற்றவையாக விளங்குகின்றன.
