मध्यमवर्ग व छोट्या व्यापाऱ्यांना दिलासा देण्यासाठी जीएसटी 2.0 आणण्याची गरज, कॉंग्रेसची मागणी

देशातील मध्यमवर्ग व सर्वसामान्य जनतेकडून सर्वात जास्त जीएसटी कर संकलन होतं. केंद्र सरकारने येत्या अर्थसंकल्पात जीएसटी 2.0 आणावा, अशी मागणी सचिन पायलट यांनी केली आहे.

00:00As you all know, on 1st February, the Indian government's budget will be presented to the Central Government.

00:07And the Congress Party has always raised those issues within and outside the Sadhan,

00:14which are related to the common citizen.

00:17Among them, the most important issue is our economy.

00:23In June 2024, when Lok Sabha's results were announced,

00:27the people who had claimed 300-400 crores,

00:32were shown a mirror by the people,

00:34and a broken constitution was issued,

00:37in which none of the parties got a majority.

00:39And along with the Baisakhs, the BJP created a government.

00:45Now, on 1st February, the budget will be presented.

00:50So, the Congress Party, on behalf of the party,

00:54which is a very important demand and an issue that we want to talk about,

00:59is the issue of GST.

01:02GST is a consumption tax,

01:05which is collected from the poor.

01:08So, whenever the government's figures come,

01:10that record GST collection, record-breaking GST collection,

01:14they basically mention the indirect tax from the middle classes.

01:22In this country, the number of people who pay income tax is only 5%.

01:27And GST, all the citizens are paying it indirectly.

01:31But the biggest burden is on the professionals, the middle class,

01:38and the people who are earning income.

01:41The government has created a lot of slabs.

01:45And the interesting thing is,

01:47when the UPS government first imagined GST,

01:51then this very BJP strongly opposed GST.

01:55And not only against GST,

01:58when in Manmohanji's government,

02:00we used the Aadhaar card for the first time,

02:03then the BJP strongly opposed the Aadhaar card,

02:08the UAD,

02:09the DPT, the Direct Benefit Transfer,

02:12which the BJP promotes a lot,

02:15when for the first time,

02:16we gave a small town of Rajasthan, Kot Kasim,

02:18there for the first time,

02:19through the DPT,

02:20we gave a LBGP subsidy,

02:22then the BJP strongly opposed the Kain government.

02:25On economic issues,

02:27the BJP opposed the FDI in retail.

02:31Today, they have become its advocates.

02:33The FDI in the defence sector,

02:35whatever the BJP opposed,

02:37today, they have become its promoters.

02:39So, the BJP is continuously changing its stand.

02:44and when GST was discussed in the council,

02:46then the then Chief Minister of Gujarat,

02:48Modi ji, used to completely oppose it.

02:50And when the BJP government implemented GST,

02:54then at 12 o'clock at night,

02:56creating a lot of atmosphere in the Sadan,

02:58as if they have invented something new,

03:00and implemented a flawed GST.

03:02I am saying flawed because

03:04every government has to increase the income.

03:07This government is increasing the income of a few people,

03:10and a very limited group.

03:13You see the figures.

03:15Corporates have a tax break of 2 lakh crores.

03:19And you are receiving GST from the middle class.

03:22When you are continuously taking GST from the public,

03:26then they are not getting any relief.

03:28Inflation and inflation,

03:30and especially the food price inflation,

03:32is breaking the record.

03:34Everything, LPG cylinder,

03:36food, daily necessities,

03:38prices are increasing.

03:40There are so many slams in it.

03:42There is a famous example of popcorn.

03:46There are 3 types of taxes imposed on it.

03:48The small businessmen,

03:50cannot bear it.

03:52It is such a complicated process,

03:55that the small businessmen are not able to comply with GST.

03:59If they are not able to comply,

04:01then there is terrorism.

04:03There are notices from the inspectors and the department.

04:05It is exploited.

04:07Similarly, all the agencies of the country,

04:09which are income tax,

04:11revenue services,

04:13GST inspectors,

04:15labour inspectors,

04:17they create a lot of terrorism.

04:19I will not talk about EDCV,

04:21you all know it.

04:23But to make the economy better,

04:25the government has put a lot of pressure on the middle class.

04:27So, we demand from the government,

04:29from the Minister of Agriculture,

04:31that the people should not be trapped in the traps of numbers.

04:33They should rationalize the slams.

04:35The middle class is suffering a lot because of GST.

04:39And the farmers,

04:41who earn 10-20,000 rupees a month,

04:43they have to take care of their children.

04:45There is maximum pressure on them.

04:47And the small businessmen,

04:49who are the owners of lakhs of crores,

04:51they are constantly being taxed.

04:53You are giving a tax break of 10,000 rupees.

04:55A tax break of lakhs of crores to a few people.

04:57And you are putting the burden of GST

04:59on 80% of the population of the country.

05:01We are against that.

05:03Many times,

05:05Mr. Khargi and Mr. Rahul Gandhi

05:07have spoken about this in the Congress Party.

05:09Because now,

05:11the budget will be presented in 2-3 weeks.

05:13So, we want the Kerala government

05:15to understand the feelings of the people.

05:17And in the matter of GST,

05:19leave your stubbornness.

05:21In the BJP,

05:23whatever they say, they say.

05:25Whether it is about the currency,

05:27or the lockdown,

05:29the things that should be done

05:31as a consensus, they don't do it.

05:33The first proposal of GST

05:35came to our government.

05:37Swarga Manmohan Singh's government

05:39presented it for the first time

05:41because your tax collection

05:43can be a burden.

05:45But in the last 10 years,

05:47the entire burden of tax collection

05:49is on the low-income families.

05:51We want this to be rationalized.

05:53This should be presented to the people.

05:55And tax terrorism,

05:57in the country,

05:59on the citizens,

06:03on the edge of danger,

06:05that is the government's

06:07pressure tactics.

06:09And the electoral bonds

06:11that the Supreme Court

06:13has declared illegal,

06:15thousands of crores of rupees

06:17are deposited in the BJP's account.

06:19And just before the elections,

06:21the government seizes

06:23the Congress's bank accounts.

06:25So this economic pressure,

06:27this political pressure

06:29is on us.

06:31But the Congress Party is against

06:33the common people's suffering.

06:35And if the government

06:37comes up with a proposal

06:39for the benefit of the common people,

06:41we are ready to resolve it.

06:43It's not that we are against it

06:45because the government is trying

06:47to solve the problem.

06:49Every person is worried about the

06:51cost of living.

06:53The families are worried.

06:55In the rural areas,

06:57in the urban areas,

06:59and where we are sitting today,

07:01this is the economic capital of the country.

07:03So here too, we have come

07:05to warn the Indian government

07:07that the entire country is demanding

07:09that it should be rationalized.

07:11The weak, medium-income families,

07:13to improve the economy,

07:15the corporates are given

07:17tax breaks,

07:19government loans,

07:21and privatization is also done

07:23by the government in a transparent manner.

07:25The Congress Party is

07:27on the side of industry,

07:29on the side of investment,

07:31on the side of investments.

07:33But the government,

07:35the wealth of the country,

07:37its treatment, its disposal,

07:39you want to give it to the poor

07:41and you want to help them.

07:43I think this is a betrayal

07:45of the country.

07:47Therefore, the success of the government

07:49on economic issues that it has shown

07:51so far is only paper.

07:53And to say that we are earning

07:55so many trillion dollars in the country

07:57and our economy is getting better,

07:59it is such a big country,

08:01140 million people work hard,

08:03then the country is moving forward.

08:05But the government,

08:07their favoritism,

08:09should be avoided.

08:11And GST 2.0

08:13should be implemented

08:15where slabs are rationalized

08:17and the burden on the middle class is reduced.
