00:06in the first-ever championship of the 34th Dubai International Basketball Championship this January.

00:20The Zamboanga Valientes Filipino Basketball Team is ready

00:23to compete with the heavyweights in their first-ever championship

00:28in the 34th Dubai International Championship from January 24 to February 2 in Dubai.

00:34This is followed by their successful campaign in the Asian Tournament

00:38after winning the title in the Final League Grand Finals against Macau Black Bears last year

00:45where it served as the basis of their leadership to raise their competition level

00:51and join more international events this year.

00:55Although positive about their performance here,

00:59Zamboanga Valientes Sports Patron Junie Navarro told PTV Sports

01:04that it won't be easy for them to compete in the so-called competition against the opposing team, Lebanon.

01:10What I see in Dubai is that their level of basketball is very high.

01:16So it will be a good experience and at the same time we will learn, right?

01:20But we're positive that we can give a good fight to the other teams

01:25and hopefully, especially Lebanon, they are very strong.

01:29But in our entry, we're positive that we will try to give our best to win all the games

01:37because we're representing our city and our country.

01:40But that's the only thing for us, it's always the opportunity

01:46and giving opportunities to our local players.

01:49Despite the short preparation period,

01:52Zamboanga Valientes still managed to form a heavy roster to compete in the Dubai Tournament.

01:58Navarro believes that the star players in their team will be more interesting to watch for all their fans.

02:06It will be really exciting.

02:09And we believe that our countrymen will enjoy the games,

02:14especially with the arrival of 7-5 Samdegara and then we have 4th Skipadrigao.

02:19And then we also have, they will be excited for our local players like Denver Cadiz.

02:24He's just a 5-5, a point guard.

02:27But when he played in the Asian Tournament, he was able to prove to the fans that Denver Cadiz can compete.
