00:00As the Union Budget 2025 is approaching, there is a sharp rise in objections to the 8th Vetan Aayog.

00:14The Central Employment Organizations had previously raised demands for a new Vetan Aayog.

00:18Employees had asked for a commission on the 8th in the previous budget.

00:21However, the Finance Ministry had clarified that there is no plan for the creation of the 8th Vetan Aayog.

00:27However, it is expected that the 8th Vetan Aayog will be announced in the upcoming budget on February 1, 2025.

00:34Although the Finance Minister has rejected the creation of the 8th Vetan Aayog,

00:38the Central Employment Organizations have kept an eye on any updates of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

00:44Recently, Finance Minister Sitharaman had a meeting with the Trade Unions.

00:48However, this meeting is a part of the general pre-budget discussion and there is a possibility of discussing the 8th Vetan Aayog.

00:56On December 12, last month, the Central Employment Organization had written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi

01:02and asked for the creation of a new Vetan Aayog.

01:04The organization had said in its letter that due to the fall in inflation and the fall in the value of money,

01:10it has become necessary to create the 8th Vetan Aayog without any delay.

01:15Now, the direction of the Finance Minister had also come forward on this.

01:18Last month, on December 3, the Finance Ministry had said in the Rajya Sabha

01:22that the government does not have any proposal for the creation of the 8th Vetan Aayog and the government is not in favor of it.

01:29For now, the recommendations of the 7th Vetan Aayog are in place and the 7th Vetan Aayog was formed in 2014 and it was implemented in 2016.

01:38Traditionally, a new Vetan Aayog is formed every year, but there is no legal obligation to do so.

01:46Although the government did not say any plan for the formation of the 8th Vetan Aayog,

01:49but there are discussions among the employees about the increase in salary.

01:53According to the reports, salary revise can be added to the inflation instead of the new Aayog.

01:58And if the government agrees to the 2.86 fitment factor,

02:03then the minimum salary of the employees, i.e. the basic salary, can be increased from Rs 18,000 to Rs 51,480, which will be an increase of 186%.

02:13Although it is only for now, the government has not come up with any official statement on it.

02:19But there is speculation that this time the 8th Vetan Aayog can be formed and the salary of the government employees can be increased by 186%.
