00:00The number of Filipinos who have jobs increased this November 2024

00:06based on the Labor Force Survey of the Philippine Statistics Authority.

00:10According to the NEDA, it proves that the labor market in the Philippines is stable.

00:15This is Patricia Lopez of IBC with the national news. Patricia.

00:20Alan, almost 50 million Filipinos have jobs in the country this November 2024.

00:29Based on the Labor Force Survey of the Philippine Statistics Authority,

00:33the employment rate in the Philippines increased by 96.8 percent.

00:38It's higher by 0.7 percent compared to October 2024.

00:43The number of workers in the manufacturing, accommodation and food service activities increased during the holidays.

00:54The number of workers in the human health and social work activities also increased.

00:59If the primary sector will be independent this November 2024,

01:04the services sector is still the largest part of the labor force that has 62.1 percent.

01:12The agriculture sector has 20 percent share and the industry sector has 17.9 percent share.

01:21The unemployment rate in the country decreased by 3.2 percent, while the under-employment rate decreased by 10.8 percent.

01:32Because of the good impression of the PSA, the NEDA Secretary-General said that the labor force in the country is still stable.

01:41If the next step of the government is to ensure more business and employment opportunities in the Philippines,

01:49we can better the economy of the country.
