00:0027 more volcanic quakes were reported by PHIVOX in Canlaon in the past 24 hours.
00:07Almost 6,000 tons of sulfur dioxide was released by the volcano Canlaon in the past days.
00:15And it reached a height of 750 meters in the past day.
00:20The volcano continues to erupt because of the continuous activity of Canlaon.
00:26PHIVOX is concerned that the possibility of its state being raised to alert level 4 remains.
00:34The possibility that this will be raised to alert level 4 is always there.
00:38What we are seeing here is the increase of volcanic earthquakes,
00:42the rise of sulfur dioxide, and then the sudden decrease of it.
00:46Because if it suddenly decreases, it means that it has closed its boundary.
00:55This is more dangerous because it could have an explosive eruption like what happened on December 9.
01:04Prior to December 9, its sulfur dioxide suddenly decreased from around 7,000 to 1,699 tons per day.
01:13So it means that the sulfur dioxide is still not released and it closed its boundary.
01:17And because of over-pressurization, it exploded.
01:21This is one of the things we are looking at.
01:23We are also looking at the eruption of the summit of the volcano.
01:29We are also looking at the accumulation of ash.
