Price impact unpredictable at the moment

The stop of Russian gas exports to Europe will likely have an impact on gas prices, but the magnitude of said impact is currently difficult to predict, expert in Russian energy and gas policy Professor Arild Moe says.  #Russia #Ukraine

00:00And just one last question for you. What does this mean for the gas prices across the world?

00:06Will we see an impact on them? Is the price of gas going to go up or will it not have much effect on the market?

00:12Well, if Europe is importing more, even more LNG than it already does, it has an impact on prices in other markets as well.

00:25Again, it is difficult to say because there are a lot of production capacities around the world that also will react to this new situation.

00:33But I think we can be quite certain that there will be some price impact, but very difficult to say how much.
