China denounces ‘groundless’ U.S. hacking claims

China’s foreign ministry has dismissed hacking allegations by the U.S. as “groundless” which “lack evidence.”

Speaking at a regular news conference, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said China has "always opposed all forms of hacker attacks”.

The U.S. alleged that “China state-sponsored” hackers were behind a cyber breach at the U.S. Treasury Department.
