00:00In the past, one of the most iconic buildings in Thailand stood in the heart of Bangkok.

00:05Located in Sathorn, the Robot Building was a standout building in the capital.

00:10Opened in 1986, it served as the headquarters of Bank of Asia, which was later acquired by UOB.

00:17The building was the brainchild of renowned architect Sumet Chumsai Nayutthaya,

00:22who got inspiration from his son's robot toys.

00:25Its design featured distinctive elements such as steel nuts adorning its sides,

00:30and circular windows resembling half-open eyes.

00:32The building was closed a few years ago for renovation.

00:35But the Robot Building remains a vivid memory for many people

00:39and a symbol of Bangkok's unique architectural heritage.
