00:00The Department of Social Welfare and Development clarified that the assistance to the Kaposangkitan Program or ACAP is not a pork barrel.

00:06This is the answer of the DSWD to the allegations that the ACAP is using in politics.

00:11According to DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, the barangay officials have no right to choose the beneficiaries.

00:18Gatchalian also said that the DSWD social workers are the ones who process the applications and decide how much assistance is needed for the qualified beneficiaries.

00:28The fund allocated to the DSWD ACAP Program is worth Php 26.7 billion under the General Appropriations Act of 2024 for those affected by high inflation.
